This week we are flying fast and high with escorts with some slight changes to one of the bonuses. It's a double Max Hit week, but, and this is the big change, the only max hit that will be accepted is from energy weapons or torpedoes, abilities like Recursive Shearing will not count. This lines up nicely with our weekly endeavour which is to exceed 500,000 damage with a single max hit. This will give you a rank point and a nice torpedo prize.

TEAMS

The teams are fairly closely matched and are currently well-balanced however Omega has now lost some players who for whatever reason are not showing up to play. Unless this changes over the next week we may need to move an Alpha member to Omega or recruit another Omega member to balance the books.

You will see a new section added to the Personnel files, this is only relevant if you are taking part in the SRS Team Battles event. It shows progress and if you are eligible for rewards. If you are not in the team battles event then of course you are not going to be eligible for any rewards this time.

CRYPTIC

The Cats Tale TFO is a fun easy run through a haunted castle, however, there are a few issues. Firstly effects in the dark environment are blinding, we highly recommend you use VERTIGO to remove many of the brightest effects, look up VERTIGO under the Tutorial Menu. Secondly, in order to kill the skeletons, they must be drawn to the lighted candles so make sure you light all the candles. Additionally, any pets you launch, including security teams, Borg turrets etc will aggro the skeletons and keep them out of the candlelight which means they are immune from damage, so DON'T use pets as it will only make the TFO a lot longer to complete. Don't bother at the moment unless you are desperate, the 15% off is not worth it, wait until the Black Friday Sale at the end of November for a much better deal.

FARRAGUT

This ship is pretty meh and is outclassed by even many C-Store ships, I wouldn't bother with it unless you are in love with its rather antiquated looks.

INFINITY UPDATE

Cryptic has screwed up the Infinity lock box update, instead of adding the Discovery Far from Home contents they have added the Emerald chain contents. I've never known them to do this before, this is a major error, but if you were hoping to find the Crossfield Refit in there you won't, instead, you'll see the Emerald Chain Juggernought and other content. Now they will no doubt sort that fairly soon, I don't know if they will leave the Emerald Chain stuff in the box or not but my guess is as they are lazy they will. SROs

Superior Romulan Operatives are broken in several ways.

For Romulan players using SROs, they collect you will find they are adding the racial trait to SRO trait giving them too much crit, this doesn't affect the SROs bought from the Embassy. Another error which I found is that if you have 4 SROs giving you say 60% CrtH and add a 5th you will see your CrtH go down not up! Currently, the maximum Crit you can get is with 4 SROs and 1 Vanguard Jem'Hadar. VERTIGO
