SRS xBs

Resistentia non est, inanis (resistance is not futile)

Since Hugh was released from the collective by the renowned Doctor Crusher and Geordie La Forge (I, Borg, Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season 5, Episode 23) it has been known that some Borg could regain their individuality. This was demonstrated to an astonishing level with the liberation and subsequent reintegration of Seven of Nine was first seen in Voyager (Star Trek: Voyager: Season 4, Episode 1). We had already encountered Borg drones who had freed themselves from the Collective when Commander Chakotay stumbles upon the Borg Cooperative in Voyager Unity (Star Trek: Voyager: Season 3, Episode 17).

During the Iconian War and the War against the Vaadwaur the Borg Cooperative were a fearsome force who allied themselves with the Delta alliance despite being vilified by many Delta Quadrant races.

SRS has come to recognise the role that these X borg (xBs according to the late Hughe from the 2390s) have played and continue to play, as well as their need to still be part of a free collective. We have therefore decided to include a dedicate fleet for xBs within the SRS Family. Local connection nodes allow for some xBs to reconnect for time to time for the purposes of healing both physical and mental injuries, whilst a small number of non-Borg personnel are present in this fleet the vast majority are xBs from all over the galaxy.

So if you have escaped the Collective and are looking for a home your search is over.
