A New Type of MRP Event

A new type of MRP event has been introduced, they are similar to scavenger hunts. You will see something like this posted in the chat: NPE-Urgent Delivery - Deliver 1x Risian Jipper to the CFOPS (requires 5 favors) (MRP x2) You have 20 min - [Keyword=Crystalline Entity] When you see this event posted, first use the keyword to join the team as normal, but don't start until told to BEGIN.

You are being asked here to deliver a Risian Jipper to the CFOPS. If you don't know what a Risian Jipper is that doesn't matter. It's very obviously something from Risa, so you know you need to go there. As it's also something that can be traded it must be from a vendor. So find a Vendor on Risa where you can buy a Jipper. You may need Favors or EC to buy it, but none of these events cost very much. Once you have acquired your Jipper, then locate the whereabouts of the CFOPS. He will tell you what fleet he's in, so just look at the Armada tab roster for that fleet and see the location as shown here:

Here you can see that the CFOPS officer Holly, is on Risa. So go to Risa, and once there use the map to locate where she is. Deliver the Jipper to the CFOPS and your position will be noted for the rewards.

REWARDS

All scavenger hunts have a 2X MRP and in addition, they have a positional reward.

If you are the first player to initiate a trade with the CFOPS you will get 1st place

1st place - 200K MRP

2nd place - 150K MRP

3rd place - 100K MRP

4th place - 50K MRP

5th place - 25K MRP

All the above placings are also doubled as this is a 2X MRP event.

NOTE. These scavenger hunts will have a time limit, as noted above this particular event need to be finished in 20 min. If you don't get there in time you don't get any points. Some scavenger hunts require more time to complete and this will be noted in the event description.

We ran these events a couple of times last night and it was a lot of fun and made a real change from the usual pew pew.

CFOPS

When you choose to run one of these events, make sure you tell people not to start until you say BEGIN, and tell them which fleet you are in.

Once you have told them to BEGIN, go find the place, it can be anywhere on the ground, that you would like them to find you. You can make it as easy or as difficult as you like.

Scoring

You will notice a new score box for special events shown here:

For all non-scavenger events, this box should be selected as Not Applicable (N/A). Only select the placings when the players return and deliver your item. The first person to trade is set to 1st, the second person to trade set to 2nd and so on. You will have to manually add the players name to the Non Parseable sheet. The best way to do that is to highlight the player name in the chat

Use CrtL+C to copy to the clipboard

Then go to the Non parseable sheet and select the empty cell, then right-click and select "Paste Values Only" (this will avoid pasting any trailing spaces which the sheet won't like)

I hope you enjoy this new event. Since the foundry was removed, finding ways to keep folks entertained has become immeasurably more difficult, this is something different that requires zero build knowledge and gives everyone regardless of ability the chance to earn some valuable MRP, and MRP makes prizes!

DPS League UPDATE

It's fair to say that the new DPS league tables are a great success. So much so that we are running hundreds of events a week. This has meant that our 400 rollover limit was being achieved before players could even get a chance to get all their builds logged. So this has been extended to 600 events. As a result, there have been some minor changes to the current scores as older events are now included in the results.

MRP Blitz
