From the Ashes was a great success with many people receiving prizes for taking part ranging from Saint Bernard pets to master keys and Experimental ship upgrade tokens. Thanks to everyone who played throughout the week, I know you enjoyed it as much as I did. The next special event is Victory is Life, starting on 22nd July. This week the MRP bonuses are as follows:
Fleet of the Week - SRS Chrononauts
Fly any ship
Fly with any career
Bonus to DPS and Max Hit
Endeavour - complete just 5 MRP events for an endeavour point.
NEW SPECIAL EVENT
Fer and I are working to bring you a new Special Event later this year, it will be Terran themed. There is now enough content in the game to run a Terran event for a few days, I'm looking forward to that, so here's plenty of notice, get your Terran toon ready, join the SRS Imperial Starfleet with that toon. Uniforms and other info will be updated on the website before the event and like the others, there will be dedicated web pages for the event.
MAKING EC the easy way
For those of you who wish to make EC the easy way, the Titan (Enterprise G) from Picard will likely be released in June. It is almost certainly going to be a promo ship and the demand will be very high. This means the R&D promo boxes of all flavours will be expensive, at least 30M EC a pop. Buy Zen now whilst it is on sale and then use it to buy as many promo boxes as you can, the price will initially be high then it will drop and over time rise again. Get your Zen quickly though as the sale ends soon. Welcome to All the New Members We've had a lot of folks join us this month, so I'd like to say a big hello to:

I hope you guys and gals are enjoying SRS and the game. Make sure you've joined the SRS Armada chat channel and don't forget, the more you take part in events the more rewarding the game will be for you. Never hesitate to ask questions and join the discord, it's where it's at! Cryptic News
MACO/OMEGA/Honor Guard Visuals now available in the reputation
Yes for those of you who toiled for weeks, months, even years to achieve the elite accolades and gear from the elite Borg STFs (TFOs), well rather than reintroduce those STFs as we have been screaming for since Delta Rising (the best expansion ever and the players loved it) came out, so that everyone could have a chance to earn the elite gear, Cryptic has decided they don't want to be bothered adding content, so they have instead added those costumes to the reputation tab. So now you too can wear the gear without having to earn it.
Having said that, there are reports it doesn't work and people can't get it anyway, your mileage may vary. SALES SALES SALES
Obviously, they are strapped for cash again now they have to pay Kael even more money for hosting both STO and Neverwinter live streams, so there are a ton of sales in the game to help relieve you of all that cash you found you had hidden under the mattress. So as mentioned earlier, there is actually a really good sale price for Zen at 25%, there is also a ship sale 20%, a Mudds sale of 75% (which means the prices are now just extortionate and not the gibberings of a mad Ferengi locked in a room with Garek and a large snow tuber).
There is a new "As Seen in TNG" bundle which you would be absolutely barking mad to purchase the Mega Pack on, ok they have just reduced the price as even the Ferengi Accountants at Cryptic could see that $600 was a tad too much. To put it in perspective, if you buy the choice pack it will cost you $150 at the sale price, which is the same price as every Star Trek Game on GoG (all 12 of them) AND the new Star Trek Resurgence video game (in total that's $144), which by the way is highly recommended. No Cryptic is really stretching the bounds of credibility with this bundle, there's only one ship worth getting and that's the Borg Juggernaut which you can pick up on the exchange for about 600 million EC (makes a good tank or torp boat), the Husnock is ok but to really shine it needs the Miradorn as well for the console 2 piece, and the Sonar is pants, I mean it's cool looking and all but it's nowhere near top tear and the Compiler Dreadnought giveaway is a better ship all round. My advice, skip this bundle. New Content this week: Nothing
Have a great week guys, see you out there.
Matt
