SRS NEWS
There are no events planned for this week. MRP will resume next week. There may be some unscheduled MRP events but this time of year is a holiday for the CFOPS who are busy earning favors on Risa and generally chilling out.
New SRS Josh Bee Academy Superintendent
I'd like to welcome Geek as the new Superintendent of the Academy. Geek's character Roxy will run the Academy and recruit new players within the game to SRS as well as build the fleet holdings further. Congratulations on the new position Geek and thanks for all the help and useful suggestions.

2nd SRS Olympics
I'd like to thank Fer for his work on the 2nd SRS Olympics. Some fantastic events with really novel ideas for extracting fun from STO all created by Fer, awesome work, it was a really fun event with hundreds of millions in prizes being handed out daily to players taking part. Looking forward to next year's event already.

There is no news from Cryptic this week worth talking about.
The graphical deterioration of Risa (and elsewhere)
Look at the images below, what's wrong with this picture? This year the bugs in the graphics of the game have hit new lows which are especially visible at Risa but are also visible at ESD and Nimbus as well as New Romulus and other areas. I started a post about this on Reddit which you can read here, some readers commented that it is a known issue with Lighting 2.0 and they are working on a fix, let's hope that it's sorted for 2024 Risa and that they bring back the day/night cycle.
