The Weekend Reforms

The Weekend Reforms, or the Hide & Seek Reforms are our answer to solve the Hide & Seek. It is divided in 5 parts.

=== 1 -> Changes ===
Hide & Seek will become a smaller event, meaning it will be reduced from 30 minutes to 20 minutes, about the duration of a normal TFO. Evacuations of the quarters will happen every 5 minutes.
Aditionally, Hide & Seek now has a scale, this is, more people = bigger map. From now on, with the addition of maps where we are combined in a team, the seeker has to disable their HUD, or at least disable seeing team names. (Available in settings, explanation will be provided). This measure isn't needed when the participants aren't combined in a team.
=== 2 -> Three Hide & Seeks ===
• The Hide & Seek that we have played up to now will now be called Hide & Seek Ground. New maps include those from the exploration system.
• Hide & Seek Space: Have you been wanting to hide your ship in an asteroid belt like in the shows? Using the maps from the exploration system and some others available on the game, even the sector space, Hide & Seek Space uses ships searching for ships. Everything else (number of seekers, map scale, etc) is equal to normal Hide & Seek.
• Hide & Seek PVP: We tried this last saturday and it was fun. The seeker has to be able to kill the hiders (which can only use regen abilities, not attack) to be able to turn them into seekers. These new seekers will help find the remaining hiders, symbolically attacking them to make the hiders change spot. This event will happen less times than the other Hide & Seeks. It will be played in the PVP zones or in private matches.
=== 3 -> Race the map ===
Remember Asteroid Run? The not so known brother of Hide and Seek? Well, it consisted of running on the Vulga Asteroid Field to the officer.
It is now being reformed into Race the map. This event has many locations, from running on Kobali from the city to near the ship, to Vulcan from the beginning area to the temple.
Prizes are still the same. (2.5m MRP to winner, 2m MRP to 2nd place, 1.5m MRP to third, and 1m MRP to the others).
=== 4 -> Mega Events ===
From now on, instead of playing Hide & Seek on Saturdays, it will be played on Sundays at 9 UK time. However, instead of playing a single Hide and Seek, we will play one of three Weekend events, which correspond to and take as much time as a normal story replay. These event can give up to 7.5 million MRP, a bit more than a normal story replay.
Weekend Combined Ground:
Hide & Seek Ground or PVP and Race the map.
Weekend Combined Space:
Hide & Seek Space and Die-a-lot.
Why do these combinations? We used to do 2 rounds of Hide & Seek. We believe that it may contribute to more players playing if we mix it with another event. On some Sundays and on other days of the week if requested, we can do individual Hide & Seek (PVP, Space or Ground) and Race on the map if requested.
=== 5 -> no cats ===
This has already been announced in the Halloween News but I'm going to say again. Cats, Caitians and Ferasans are banned from Hide & Seek. From now on, any cat that goes in the Hide & Seek event is going to have its score nullified unless the CFOPS says otherwise. This has been agreed by democratic vote. No further discussion will be entered on this topic.
=== Conclusion ===
We hope that these reforms make the weekend events a bit more fun.
The HUD disabling and team maps are still being tested so may not be used if it proves too hard to implement. (Updates about this will appear in the comments).
